By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, May 28, 2019: Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday will create history by becoming chief minister for fifth term in Odisha after being sworn in the Exhibition Ground. He is likely to induct a mix of first timers and experienced legislators in the 23 member ministry, sources said.

Six-time MLA and former minister Surya Narayan Patro is all set to become the new Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly while former minister Pramila Mallick is liely to be appointed as the Government Chief Whip.

Naveen is understood to have called to his residence Naveen Nivas Susanta Singh (Bhatli MLA), Ashok Chandra Panda (Bhubaneswar-Ekamra MLA), Tukuni Sahu (Titlagarh MLA), Ranendra Pratap Swain (Athagarh MLA), Samir Ranjan Dash (Nimapara MLA), Surya Narayan Patro ( Digapahandi MLA), Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi (Simulia MLA), Naba Das (Jharsuguda MLA), Dibya Sankar Mishra ( Junagarh MLA), Padmanav Behera (Birmaharajpur MLA), Bikram Keshari Arukha (Bhanjanagar MLA), Pratap Deb (Aul MLA), Niranjan Pujari (Sonepur MLA), Pramila Mallik (Binjharpur MLA), Manohar Randhari (Nabarangpur MLA), Snehangini Chhuria (Attabira MLA), Jagannath Saraka (Bissam Cuttack MLA), Prafulla Kumar Mallik (Kamakhyanagar MLA), Raghunandan Das (Balikuda-Erasama MLA), Pratap Jena (Mahanga MLA), Padmini Dian (Kotpad MLA), Tusharkanti Behera (Kakatpur MLA) and Sudam Marandi (Bangriposi MLA).

Naveen is likely to pick up some of them in the ministry, but as more number of women may get inducted in the Cabinet with Patnaik is advocating 33 per cent reservation in the Assembly and Parliament, there may be some changes at the last minute, BJD sources said.

The BJD bagged 112 seats in the 146-member Assembly.
