By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, June 25, 2017 : Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday sought people’s cooperation in making the Asian Athletics Championship event to begin here on July 5 a grand success.

Speaking at on the 31st edition of Pathotsav here, Patnaik said “I urge support of people of Odisha and treat the players and delegates as our family members, so that they would be our ambassadors when they return to their respective countries.”

As part of its ambitious ‘citizen connect’ programme Odisha Government picked Pathotsav to promote and publicize the Athletics Championship and Olly, the official mascot for was the centre of attraction on Sunday.

“Today’s Pathotsav has been dedicated for the upcoming 22nd Asian Athletics Championship which is a glorious moment for people of Odisha,” said Patnaik.

Patnaik further said that the city of Bhubaneswar is fully prepared to host the mega event and welcome the players and delegates from 45 countries.
