airasiaBy Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, January 27, 2017 : Exactly two months from now, direct international flight services will kick start from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials on Friday said AirAsia would launch its services to Kuala Lumpur from Bhubaneswar from March 27 for which the airliner has obtained all necessary clearances.

Initially, international operations will be limited to Kuala Lumpur but will extended to Dubai, Bangkok and Middle Eastern countries subsequently.

“AirAsia has announced that from March 27 it will start its direct services from Bhubaneswar to Kuala Lumpur. It will give more international options to passengers,” said AAI’s regional executive director, Sanjay Jain.

‘We are now certain that AirAisa will begin its direct international services by end of March or beginning of April. The airliner has confirmed it,” said chief secretary, Aditya Padhi.
