By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, November 26, 2016 : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday laid the foundation stone of Electronics Manufacturing Cluster, Infovalley, Seafood Park and Gems and Jewellery Park to be set up in Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

The electronics manufacturing cluster will come up at Janla under Jatni block with an investment of over Rs 1000 crore generating about one lakh direct/indirect employment opportunities.

Earlier, the state government set up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) was set up with Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) as the main promoter for easy and fast implementation of the project.

The foundation stone for Seafood Park at Deras was also laid by the chief minister. The seafood processing unit cluster with an investment potential of Rs 500 crore is likely to provide 3 lakh direct/indirect employment opportunities.

Besides, foundation stone was laid for Gems and Jewellery Park at Ramadaspur in Cuttack. The jewellery manufacturing hub has an investment potential of nearly Rs 700 crore and is likely to generate 60,000 direct/indirect employment opportunities.

These parks, the state government hopes, could turn Make In Odisha into a reality and chart a new era in Odisha’s growth history.
