OdishaBy Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, August 22, 2016 : China is keen to participate in the two-day Make in India conference here in December first week this year.

Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on Monday held discussions with representatives of India China Trade & Culture Centre, SK Ray, Consul (Commercial), Indian Consulate, Shanghai and Sarat Kumar Sahoo, Chairman, Odisha Industry Federation at the secretariat here.

Encouraged by the new IPR policy and ‘Ease of Doing Business Environment’ introduced in Odisha, the Chinese representatives said they are willing to participate in the forthcoming Make in India conference on December 1-2.

Padhi urged them to bring investors from sectors like light engineering, electronic products, and food processing as Odisha has many strength and opportunities in these sectors.

The members of the Chinese delegation proposed to come up with a group of 30 potential investors, sources said.
