By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, August 12, 2016 : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated 100 new warehouses.

He also flagged off a programme that envisages distribution of mobile phones to 41,000 women farmers.

The warehouses, constructed by the cooperative department, shall store fertilisers, seeds and paddy, and have an aggregate capacity of 41,425 tonnes.

Patnaik also distributed mobile phones to 10 women Kisan Credit Card holders on the occasion. Under this programme, 41,000 free mobile phones will be distributed to Women Kisan Credit Card holders.

The mobile phones will enable women farmers to get information on agriculture and marketing of their produce, officials said.
