By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, December 23, 2015 : Paradip Port Trust [PPT] finally on Wednesday had a full time chairman with the Indian Railway Traffic Service [IRTS] officer Rinkesh Roy assuming charge as its chairman.

Before joining the PPT, Roy, who also hails from Odisha, worked in varied capacities in the Railway Operations Department at Khurda Road, Sambalpur, Waltair, Kharagpur, Chakradharpur and Bilaspur Divisions.

He has vast experience at the Railway Board level, working there as director, planning and director, traffic transportation.

Roy has also worked on the East Coast Railways as the secretary to general manager and as chief freight traffic manager of ECOR, wherein he was a member of the team that made it the highest freight loading railway.

Soon after taking over as the PPT chief, Roy met Odisha governor S C Jamir, who is on an official tour to the port town.
