The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday attached property worth Rs 84 crore owned by the scam tainted Artha Tatwa (AT) Groups of Companies- one of the key players in the multi-thousand crore chit fund scam in Odisha, and its CMD Pradeep Sethy.

The attached property comprises of both movable and immovable assets. The property includes over 100 acres of land spread out in the state, one flat in Patia and a farm-house in Khordha district, together worth Rs 79 crore, ED sources said.

Besides, the ED Rs 2.37 crore of bank deposits of the Ponzi Company was also attached, the sources added. The properties attached were possessed by the company Chief Pradeep Sethy and three other directors.

ED has taken this latest action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, sources said.

ED officials also attached shares worth Rs 2.75 crore which the Company had purchased from YASH trading of Mumbai.
