Replying to a question by BJP MLA, Dilip Ray in the Assembly, the minister said, during 2006-07 and 2013-14, the state had funds allocation to the tune of Rs 1,03,917.58 crore under the plan scheme, only Rs 84395.60 crores could be spent. This leaves unspent planned allocation of an amount of Rs 19, 521.97 crore, the minister has admitted.

Similarly, during this period the state has not been able to spend Rs 3524.66 crore under the centrally plan schemes. The centre had allocated Rs 7,488.78 crore while the state could spend only Rs 3964.11 crore.

The minister further said that the state has not been able to spend Rs 5271.33 crore during this period under the centrally sponsored scheme. The centre had allocated 28685.84 crore out of which the state could spend only Rs 23414.30 crore during the same period.

It may be noted that while the centre had allocated Rs 13,555.16 crore under the centrally sponsored scheme, the state had earmarked its matching share of Rs 15,130.67 crore during the period.
