KiiT International School students have created another flutter in space with their incredible success in the NASA Ames Space Settlement Design Contest 2015 winning the 2nd place prize for Literary Merit.

They are the only applicants from Odisha to win from an amazing 350 other entries globally. In 2014, Zenith Labyrinth, their space colony story won them the Settlement Design prize.

The team also had to research the living and flight conditions in space, the food and exercise needed to survive in space, not to mention actually living on a space station. They also contributed artwork of their space stations as well as computer generated illustrations.

The children this year have been invited to the awards ceremony in Toronto, Canada and also have the privilege to attend the International Space development conference both in May 2015.

KiiT International School had also won an award from the Australian ambassador Suckling at the Australian high commission in New Delhi for their Cambridge English video production on ’Astronomy.’

KiiT International School student Kushal Singhal of Grade 8, IGCSE, has been invited to ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization being one of the winners of ‘Young Astronomers Talent Search (YATS) organized by Tata Steel in collaboration with Pathani Samantha Planetarium.
