The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority [SLSWCA] on Wednesday in principle approved four investment proposals with an estimated investment of Rs 846 crore.

odisha-power-projectThese include the proposal of Uttam Infralogix to set up a cross country pipe conveyer from Odisha to Chhatisgarh. The Company has proposed to set up a coal unloading and crushing facility at Baliamunda of Sundargarh district. The total investment is pegged at Rs 500 crore out of which investment portion in Odisha is about Rs 260 crore, official sources said. The project is expected to generate employment for some 30 persons.

SMS India Ltd’s proposal for expansion of its existing steel manufacturing unit in the district of Khordha with an investment of Rs.168 crore also got in principle clearance from SLSWCA. The proposal when implemented would employ 119 persons.

The proposal of CONCOR for development of rail linked container terminal/multi modal logistic park at Muniguda of Rayagada district with an investment of Rs 123 crore also has been cleared by the Authority. It also has proposed to develop a similar project at Paradeep by investing Rs 113 crore. Both the projects promise to create jobs for 72 persons.

The proposal of Purbi Bharat Papers & Power Ltd to set up a logistic park with roof top solar plant of 1.5 MW capacity at village Indranipatana near Choudwar with an investment of Rs 182 also got cleared. The project has employment potential of 850 persons.

However, the clearance of all these projects has come with a rider that they will be finally decided after examination of water and power linkage issues as per the existing regulations and provisions.

The SLSWCA meeting chaired by the chief secretary Gokul Chandra Pati also decided to develop some tourism projects through PPP mode. Chief Secretary also asked PIPCOL to bring up tourism projects recommended by the task force.
