By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, September 23, 2019: Essar Steel India Limited (EStIL) has bagged “Best CSR Impact Initiatives Award” at National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Leadership Congress Summit 2019 organised by Zee Business at Bangalore.

EStiL deputy general manager, CSR, Vikas Chandra Yadvendu, received the award on behalf of the company.

The award is given to corporate housed based on several key factors, which included the quality of CSR projects, their approach and impact on society. The Jury for the award comprised personalities associated with international development agencies, academia, corporate sector and government organisations.

The technical and panel discussion on various CSR aspects were held at the Summit. Over 100 delegates from different industries, government bodies, academia and varied non-government organisations attended the Summit and award function.

Essar Steel is committed to all round development of communities. It facilitates wide-ranging CSR initiatives in health, education, livelihoods, inclusion, women empowerment and skill development. It has provided mobile health van service, free medicine and doctor consultation and has taken a plethora of CSR initiatives to empower the self help groups at its operational areas in Paradeep and Dabuna in Keonjhar.
