Odisha government on Tuesday issued new terms of reference (ToR) to the commission of inquiry headed by Justice Madan Mohan Das probing the multi-crore chit fund scam in the state, to identify bonafide investors and suggest ways to return their money raising hopes among the thousands of poor people duped of their hard-earned money by ponzi firms.

The state government in its expanded ToR has sought help of Das Commission to recommend modules to give back the money of small-time but genuine and poor investors. The existing ToR mandated the commission only to recommend on how to prevent such occurrences in the future.

The state government has made a budgetary provision of Rs 300 crore towards corpus fund for the protection of interest of the depositors.
