By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, December 18, 2017: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday called up prime minister Narendra Modi and union finance minister Arun Jaitley and congratulated them for the mandate to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Assembly polls held in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Besides, Patnaik also took to Twitter to share this.

Though the saffron BJP managed a record sixth straight victory in Gujarat Assembly Elections, its tally has come down drastically, which the Congress described as a moral victory for it.

BJP won 99 seats even as its president, Amit Shah had claimed that his party would win in excess of 150 seats.
