By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, August 21, 2021: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday launched transformation of 50 Government high schools in Hinjilicut and Sheragada Block of the Hinjilicut constituency under the 5-T initiative. Naveen represents Hinjilicut assembly constituency since 2000.

Naveen’s initiative for theses smart schools received applause from Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Around 1000 government schools are undergoing a transformation under the 5T initiative and MoSchool, which will be dedicated to the students in a phased manner by November, 14. The remaining 6600 schools will be transformed into aspirational schools in a phased manner in the next couple of years.

By transforming government schools to smart schools, Odisha chief minister has clearly sent a clear message that quality education can be affordable to all, and it can’t be a distant dream and for the marginalized sections, those opting for government schools.

These Schools not only have smart classrooms but also have e-libraries, advanced science labs, clean drinking water, hygienic toilets, sports facilities, and plantation, and an overall healthy environment. The transformation involves soft components using technology for better education content and methods to reach children. From the local community, alumni, PRIs, school committees; all are involved in teamwork for planning and execution of this massive transformation

Earlier on August 15 and 16, Secretary 5T V. K. Pandian had visited these schools and reviewed the work of transformation of these government schools.
