By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, November 12, 2020: The Odisha Cabinet charied by chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday approved the lowest negotiated Turnkey Tender of NCC Limited for execution of Jagannath Ballav Pilgrim Centre, Market Complex & Shree Setu at an estimated cost of Rs 461.25 crore within three years among 18 important proposal.
Briefing the press after the cabinet meeting, chief secretary Asit Tripathy said, the it was decided to alienate Government land and acquired/purchased land for “Heritage Security Corridor around Shri Jagannath Temple Puri” in favour of Sri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee free of premium and to correct RoR in the name of Lord Shri Jagannath Bije Puri.
The Cabinet also approved the Paddy Procurement Target at 71 lakh MT as part of Food & Procurement Policy for Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21. For Kharif, the tentative target for procurement of paddy would be 54 lakh MT & for Rabi 17 lakh MT.
However, there is no bar for the procurement of any higher quantum if more paddy comes to mandis from registered farmers. The Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister has been authorized to revise this target if the need so arises, the policy says.
Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21 has already commenced from 1st October 2020 and will conclude on 30th September 2021.
The Cabinet also approved a 3-km long flyover for Keonjhar town to reduce traffic congestion. Rs. 144-crore tender was finalised for this. The work is to be completed within 30 months.
Besides, the State cabinet also gave nod to the amendment of Odisha Civil Services (Criteria for Promotion) Rules, 1992, framing of Odisha Pharmacist Service Amendment Rules, 2020 and Odisha Radiographer Service Amendment Rules, 2020.
The Cabinet also approved for amendment of Odisha Medical & Health Services Rules, 2018 and framing of Odisha Nursing Service Amendment Rules, 2020.
