By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, December 10, 2024: State-owned NBCC (India) Ltd has bagged a ₹432-crore order from the Central University of Odisha in Sunabeda. In a regulatory filing, the company said the work order is for providing comprehensive project management consultancy (PMC) services for the construction of a net-zero sustainable campus Central University of Odisha.
The latest order comes as NBCC continues to expand its project portfolio. Last week, NBCC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, HSCC (India) Ltd, secured two major orders worth ₹599.35 crore from the National Health Mission in Maharashtra. These include the establishment and operation of Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana across the state and the setup of Radiation Oncology Units in several districts.
NBCC recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) to develop a 10-acre industrial plot in Noida, with the project estimated to cost ₹600 crore.
NBCC has been reporting robust financial performance this fiscal year. For the second quarter of FY25, the company posted a 53% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹125.13 crore, compared to ₹81.90 crore in the same quarter last year. Total income for the quarter rose to ₹2,525.95 crore from ₹2,134.36 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Shares of NBCC were trading 0.26% higher at ₹103.60 on the NSE on Tuesday.
