By Biswarj Patnaik in Bhubaneswar, September 19, 2024: Mohan Majhi is a perfect gentleman with an unblemished image. The party high command dumped a huge burdenon his head without adequate notice. Heis stillgroping in the dark as most of his colleagues in the executive are equally inexperienced.

Evidently, Majhi has not performed well enough as a truly capable political boss, though, as a human individual, he stands out as very clean and humble. All the same, the people of Odisha have not forgiven him for having failed to order a criminal investigation in the case of governor Raghubar Das’s brutish son who had roughed up an employee at the Puri Raj Bhawan nearly two and a half months ago. The officials had ordered an enquiry by the district collector, which is only laughable. Even that enquiry report has not seen light of day so far. This outwardly small omission is actually a immoral blunder that is likely to make the BJP look mean.

The generally ignored fact is that the BJP has not achieved a real conclusive victory in any manner. God only chose to smile upon the saffron brigade only to punish a few arrogant BJD creatures who had begun taking the voters for granted. He faced a shameful defeat for not taking critical care of the elctoral situation for believing that he was perpetually invincible. So, he let the youngsters handle matters and issues, who all messed up everything, too cause irreparable damage.

The most trusted VK Pandian was projected as a potential successor to Naveen very prematurely and on a frighteningly wrong footing. He was dumped on the masses as a politician while he was still a serving bureaucrat. Later when public outcry became louder than usual, he was asked to turn political guy by resigning the IAS job. Unfortunately for Naveen, the BJD party never had a good media team. The one in place literally finished the party and brought unthinkable infamy to Naveen by only annoying and irking the masses by acts of arrogant overconfidence and lowest quality publicity content which onlytarnished the clean image of the magical chief minister across two long decades.

Several other party honchos robbed the fat party coffers as they liked and put all types of crooks on the job of image enhancement of both Naveen and VK without knowing in the least that the people, having been disgusted with the rascals in the fold, had begun looking away. The daily ‘Sakala’ and the satellite TV channel ‘Nandighosh’ set up at astronomical costs, carried only cheap, poor stuff and made people even angrier. The so called media boss proved to be a disaster who is now alleged to have eaten up ahuge amount of money by guile and machination.

Incidentally, VK Pandian, authorised by Naveen to oversee everything- political and administrative affairs, did not keep any one else at level except a privately inducted rogue bureaucrat and a wicked movie maker. The personal guides and aides VK chose to make him wiser actually turned him the biggest fool on the planet. Crooks as actually they were, not one among them, couldsense massive trouble was brewing all around.

Not surprisingly therefore, VK made his chopper trips more intensively frequent and vigorous without once stopping to reflect on the realconsequences happening.The bootlicking rogues surrounding him including the in-house media masters made him merrily madder by persuading him to believe that BJD had become even more popular and invincible than it was in 2009 or 2014 only because he had taken over charge.

And lastly they organised false pre-poll reports to make V K heavenly happy that led him to go complacently loose and lax to ultimately push the party towards the most shameful debacle. The people witnessed the ever invincible Naveenlosing out to an NSA bookie by sixteen thousand votes. The hitherto demigod also just managed to scrape through in Hinjili. All this is being mentioned because the BJD has not begun self-reflecting in the right earnest as yet.

Someone has just floated a newspaper item saying a BJD Rajya Sabha fellow is still struggling to hush up a case of molestation he committed on a helpless married woman. So, quite a few black sheep in the BJD fold got the party destroyed in the 2024 elections. If only some of them had behaved better in public glare, Naveen Patnaik would have been still smiling as the boss of Odisha. It is high time he scooped out the scum and tosses it to aburning garbage yard to have the party cleansed well. All the guys looked down upon as rogues have to be dismissed and demolished sooner than expected.

When Mohan Majhi was made CM of Odisha, the whole world was shockingly stunned. But it was clear that the BJP masters were playing a masterstroke. Mohan Majhi would have an impact on tribal voters particularly the neighbouring Jharkhand getting ready to go to polls this year.For that matter, the BJP had put a Yadav in Madhya Pradesh, but never got good Yadav votes in Uttar Pradesh.

Quite at the outset, Majhi upset the people of Odisha by dropping the legendary Biju Patnaik’s name from the highly rated health insurance BSKY scheme. Lately, he has changed the simple, utterable ‘Mo School’ to a complicated lengthy name. The ‘Subhadra’dole fanfare will not work well for the BJP as they have diminished the ‘election manifesto promise’of fifty thousand rupees to a mere ten thousand per year.

This amount will only be eaten up during smallest family emergencies by most benefactors. His ministers including the two confused deputy chiefs are not functioning well enough except raiding public offices to ensure servants of the people are at work during designated hours. The majority of the ‘new regime’ masters are more engaged in ‘witch hunting’ than focusing constructive work so as to alleviate pain of the distressed communities.

A quick survey a fortnight ago indicates people of Odisha are missing Naveen Patnaik like crazy. If by any chance, elections are held today, Naveen would vanquish all the opponents like his father legendary Biju Patnaik did in 1990, but only if he crushes the methodically identified party scoundrels in full public glare.
