By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, June 25, 2022: All eyes are on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s ‘Investors’ Meet’, jointly organised by the State government and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), in Dubai on June 26.

With an aim to attract potential investors from the Middle East and adjoining regions, the Naveen’s team, which includes Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra and Industries Principal Secretary Hemant Sharma among others is leaving no stone unturned to bring as much investment as possible in the fields like petrochemicals, plastic, food processing, sea food processing, textiles and tourism.

Naveen will have a one-to-one meet with the investors and the primary focus of the discussions will be to attract them to invest in Odisha. The Naveen’s team will apprise the potential investors of what incentives they will get from the government and the opportunities involved.

The CM will stay in Dubai for four days and during this period; he will also have a meeting with the Odia expats living in the Middle East region. The discussions will focus on opportunities available in Odisha and who will be the potential investors.”

Earlier, Naveen Patnaik met with several people from the Odia diaspora in Rome, Italy on Thursday, the Office of the Chief Minister said.

Odiyas based out of 12 countries across Europe had a very lively and engaging interaction with the Chief Minister, the PS K Pandian and the Resident Commissioner Ravi Kant.

The diaspora comprised professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, missionaries, and students from diverse fields such as medicine, engineering, IT, artificial intelligence, business process outsourcing etc.

“The diaspora was proud to recount the achievements of the honourable CM’s government in the areas of food security, health, education, infrastructure, disaster management, and women empowerment amongst others,” the CMO said.

The diaspora reiterated their strong sense of ownership and dedication to the development of Odisha.

Patnaik thanked them for their renewed sense of conviction. He was especially glad to see that the Odias are doing well in Europe. He discussed with them the transformational initiatives taking place in Odisha and invited them to partner with the State government towards the development of the State.

Representatives from the UK Odia association explained the steps they are taking to construct a Jagannatha temple in the UK. The Chief Minister assured all support for the same.

He congratulated them on their successful careers and that the State is proud of their achievement. He wished them good luck in their future endeavours.

On Wednesday, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik met Pope Francis in Vatican City.

The Chief Minister is leading a high-level delegation to Rome and Dubai.
