By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, June 30, 2021: In a bid to check the spread of the deadly COVID-19 epidemic among the servitors of famed Lord Jagannath temple during the upcoming Ratha Jatra, Bahuda and Sunabesha, Paradeep Phospates Limited (PPL) on Wednesday donated Sanitizers and Masks worth Rs one lakh to Sri Jagannath Temple Administration.
PPL Head of Corporate Affairs, Sudhi Ranjan Mishra, handed over the items to Dr. Krishan Kumar, IAS, Chief Administrator of Sri Jagannath Temple Administration at Puri Temple administration office.
This year also the annual Ratha Jatra at Puri is going to be held under strict COVID-19 guidelines. It’s very difficult for the Sevayats to do all the rituals of the lord thought out the month in Covid situation. Their health is the now the utmost priority for everybody and needs to be protected.
Mr. Ajya Kumar Jena, OSA (SAG), Development Administrator was also present. Dr. Kumar thanked PPL Management for this noble gesture.
PPL in this pandemic has extended a helping hand to the community and state government to tide over the situation and will continue the same in the coming days, a company press release said.
