By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar May 11, 2020: Armed with the Supreme Court quashing the High Court’s order on the issue of bringing migrants desperately looking to return back to their villages, six more Shramik Special trains carrying stranded migrants from other states will be arriving in different stations of Odisha on Tuesday, informed East-Coast Railway.

As per the information received from the Railways, two trains will arrive at Ganjam’s Jagannathpur station from Surat. Other trains scheduled to arrive in Odisha are; one from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, one from Thangarh in Gujarat and one each from Thane and Mumbai in Maharashtra.

So far, 67,535 Odias have returned by either bus, trains or any other means of transport to the State since 3rd May 2020, informed State Health and Family Welfare Department.

Earlier, the total tally of COVID-19 cases in Odisha breached 400 mark to reach 414 following detection of 20 new positive cases in the State. The district of Ganjam reported 17 new cases that took the district total to 154. Both Sundergarh and Boudh districts reported 2 and 1 cases respectively, informed State Health and Family Welfare Department.

Ganjam became the first district in the State to record 150 cases as its total surged to 154.
