Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, January 29, 2020: Odisha Government on Tuesday launched a virtual police station where people can lodge complaints from their respective districts regarding theft of their vehicles without visiting Police Station.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the facility along with road accident case documents module and medico legal opinion system projects of Odisha Police.
The e-police station will function from State Crime Records Bureau in Bhubaneswar. These are the initiatives to effectively reduce the necessity of citizens to visit Police Stations.
This facility will benefit the people for claiming insurance in motor vehicle theft cases. The road accident case documents module is a web-based application which can be accessed from the website www.imsop.odisha.gov.in. Through this web-based application, victims of road accidents as well as insurance companies can download documents like FIR, final form, spot map, MVI report, inquest, post-mortem report, driving licence, and registration certificates.
