By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, April 24, 2019: Odisha chief minister and the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik, on Wednesday made a frontal attack on the BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the latter is frequently visiting Odisha only to seek votes.
Patnaik alleged, “The Prime Minister did not come to Odisha in the time of misery. He did not have time then. Now since elections are underway, he is frequenting to the State.”
Speaking about the Centre’s share in construction of Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital here, the CM said the State spent Rs 10,000 crore for the medical institution while the Central Government gave only Rs 100 crore.
He further alleged that a Central Minister from Odisha had been opposing the medical college. But the State Government made it possible after taking permission from the Supreme Court-appointed Central Empowered Committee, he added.
“The Swabhimani Odias of the soil of Fakir Mohan Senapati would give a befitting reply to such dirty politics,” asserted the BJD Chief.
Patnaik later appealed the voters to cast their votes in favour of party MP candidate Rabindra Kumar Jena and MLA candidate Ananta Das in the four phase elections on April 29.
