By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, January 28, 2019: The Narendra Modi Government has not released a pending amount of Rs 6400 crore for Odisha with hardly one month left for the Financial Year to end, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said on Monday.
After reviewing pending issues with the Government of India at the Odisha Bhavan in New Delhi, Patnaik said more than Rs 1000 crore for Housing, over Rs 375 crore in Health, more than Rs 400 crore under NREGS and over Rs 650 crore in Agriculture are yet to be released by the Centre for the state.
“We are spending more than Rs 3000 crore in Drinking Water from the State Budget. Government of India has allocated Rs 180 crore out of which they have released only Rs 80 crore,” said Patnaik.
“In Smart City Poverty Alleviation, out of Rs 200 crore, we have received only 6 crore,” he said
“I have deputed various officers from Odisha Bhawan to follow up with the concerned ministries of what is owed to us,” the CM added.
