By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, June 30, 2017 : The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of the Odisha government on Friday stamped its approval to investment proposals for three projects worth Rs 1,188 crore.
Chaired by chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, the Authority cleared Rs 650 crore expansion plan of Emami Paper Mills at Balgopalpur in Balasore district, Rs 430 crore grinding unit of Ambuja Cements at Jharsuguda and Rs 108.99 crore project of Surya Food & Agro Ltd, the manufacturers of Priyagold biscuits at Khurda.
While the expansion of Emami Paper Mills would generate employment for 1750 persons, the grinding unit of Ambuja Cements would provide employment to 300 people and Surya Food unit would generate jobs for 667 persons, an official statement said.
Ambuja Cement will set up 1.5 million ton per annum [mtpa] cement grinding unit at Jharsuguda while Emami Paper Mills plans to expand its multi-layer coated board manufacturing unit at Balgopalpur. Sury Food and Agro Ltd will set up 60000 ton per annum biscuit manufacturing unit at Khurda Food Park, the statement added.
