By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, May 23, 2017 : Odisha Government on Tuesday made cricket legend and Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar’s biopic – ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ tax-free in the state.
Announcing the decision of the government, the state finance minister Shashi Bhusan Behera said that the movie ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ will be tax free for audience at theaters across the state as the cricket legend is an inspiration for youth.
“The movie which has been made on the cricketer’s life has been made entertainment tax-free. It’s definitely good news for the youth,” said Sashibhushan.
The movie is based on the life of Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and scheduled to be released on May 26. Apart from Sachin, his wife Anjali, son Arjun and daughter Sarah, the movie also features cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virender Sehwag among others.
The flick is a sports biopic written and directed by James Erskine and produced by Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures under the banner 200 NotOut Productions.
The movie captures the legend’s cricket and personal life revealing few aspects of his life never exposed to public.
