By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, November 20, 2016 : Odisha Government is fine-tuning new departmental industrial policies that would be unveiled during the upcoming ‘Make in Odisha’ conclave to be held between November 30 and December 2, according to Industries Minister Debi Prasad Mishra on Sunday told media persons.
“We are in the final stage of finishing formalities on some of the policies. We are working on seven-eight new policies now. Details will be announced shortly,” Mishra told media persons on Sunday.
The new policies to be presented in the cabinet meeting scheduled on November 22 for approval, will focus sectors such as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), chemical, IT, tourism, textile and apparel, agriculture, food processing and petroleum.
As many as 400-500 industries are likely to represent in the conclave, officials said adding that sincere efforts are being made to make the event a grand success.
Earlier on November 17, Mishra held a road show in New Delhi to promote the event and attract investors to the tate.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had also met the envoys of 25 countries and the European Union on October 20 and invited them to participate along with their business delegations in the conclave.
