By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, September 15, 2016 : Odisha government plans to organize a fair at Gujarat’s textile hub Surat to lure investors to set up shops in the state. The move follows success in such a fair at Bangaluru.

An investors’ meet and workshop will be organized in the premises of Spinning Mills Federation Ltd (SPINFED) for which South Gujarat Chambers of Commerce has extended all necessary help for the event to be organised on September 16. Incidentally, it will be the state government maiden to showcase the rich handloom, handicraft and textiles of Odisha.

“More than 100 investors from Gujarat are expected to participate in the meet,” SPINFED MD AP Das said.

The state government has given greater emphasis on the development of the sector in its Industrial Policy Resolution-2015.
