By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, September 29, 2016 : The Single Window Clearance Authority in Odisha on Thursday approved two projects with an estimated cost of about Rs 224 crore.

These projects include the proposal of Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperatives (IFFCO) for setting up a railway siding at new Paradeep station yard at a cost of Rs 63.55 crore and a proposal by Well Spun Odisha Steel Pvt Ltd to set up 0.27 million ton per annum [MTPA] long steel product facilities center at Dosingha near Dhamara of Bhadrak district with an envisaged investment of Rs 160.15 crore, said, IPICOl general manager Kalayan Mohanty.

A meeting of the SWCA chaired chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi stamped its approval for both the projects, an official release said.

The IFFCO project to be completed in 14 months will generate employment to around 97 persons. Around 49 acre of land required for the project has also been identified. IFFCO has agreed to allow other companies to use this siding. The Welspun project will provide employment to around 915 persons. The land required for the purpose is around 40 acres, Mohanty said after the meeting.

Padhi also reviewed the progress on investment proposals mobilized in Make in India week in Mumbai on February 14-15 last and Odisha Investors Meet in Bengaluru.

Padhi also reviewed the status of the investment proposals mobilized in Make in India week at Mumbai during 14th- 15th February, 2016 and Odisha Investors Meet in Bengaluru on August 25- 26.

At the investors met at Mumbai, some 14 project proposals with a total investment of around Rs.70,959 crore was been mobilized and expedited. Meanwhile, two companies – Geetanjali Exports and Deepak fertilizers have already grounded the project.

Similarly, at the investors met at Bengaluru, around 26 companies have been mobilized to submit detail project proposals worth total investment of Rs 90,670 crore. Two companies are scheduled to ground their projects in November next, officials said.
