By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, January 6, 2016 : The Odisha government on Wednesday appointed Sam Pitroda, former chairman of the National Knowledge Commission and ex-adviser to the Prime Minister, as its technology adviser.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced the development through a tweet.

“Delighted to have @sampitroda as Technology Advisor for Odisha. #Vision2036 getting shape…#Odisha100 on the move,” tweeted the chief minister.
Mr Pitroda, who will be given cabinet rank in the state, will guide the Vision 2036 document for the Odisha government.

Later last year, the chief minister had declared that a Vision 2036 document would be prepared keeping the holistic development of the state in mind.
