By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, October 9, 2015 : Odisha Public Enterprises and Finance Minister Pradip Amat on Friday announced extension of tenure of State Renewal Funds Society under the Department of Public Enterprise for a further five years to facilitate acceleration of reform process of State PSUs for improvement of financial health and Human Resource.
Inaugurating a workshop on the Amended Companies Act here he stressed upon for the development of the State PSUs in general and their employees in particular.
He also dwelt on various applicable provisions of the amended Companies Act, 2013 and other Corporate Laws.
“This will be very much helpful for discharging the official duties and responsibilities as Managing Director, CMD, Functional Directors and Independent Directors of the PSUs,” Amat said.
Public enterprises department secretary Vijay Arora emphasised on smooth working and safe custody of the assets of the PSUs.
He also proposed rewards for the efficient employees of the PSUs to encourage them.
The workshop on the amended Companies Act, 2013 was organised for the Managing Directors/ CMD and other Directors of the State PSUs.
Amat also unveiled a compendium published by the Department of Public Enterprises on the circulars and office orders issued for the PSUs since 1995 to 2015.
