DSC_2353By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, August 7, 2015 : The famous Dhauli Hills on the outskirts of the capital city here has began light and sound show in an open air platform. The Show speaks of the glory and valour of Kalingan Empire, the Kalinga war and transformation of King Ashoka from Chandsoka to Dharmasoka.

The show designed with the latest 3D projection mapping technology has been made by internationally acclaimed professionals like Himanshu Singh Sabharwal and Ross Aston. The show redefines a story telling by using lights and audio system that are at par with international shows prepared by a professional team.

There are narrations painted by the famous artist Maria Rud adding creative excellence. The background voice for the show is given by Kabir Bedi, in English, Om Puri in Hindi and Bijaya Mohanty in Odia all cine actors.

The project cost of Light and Sound Show at Dhauli is pegged around Rs 6 crore out of which Rs. 5 crore was shared by the union ministry of tourism and the balance of Rs. 1.06 crore by the state government. India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC) executed the project, official said here adding that it will maintain the hardware items for one year.

Rs. 25.00 will be charged towards entry fee per person to the show and Rs. 10.00 will be charged to the students.

The show will operate from 7.00 P.M. to 7.35 P.M. and 7.45 P.M. to 8.20 P.M. in Odia, Hindi & English.
The show will be the first of its kind in the State and is all set to attract more tourists to this unique Buddhist heritage site.
