By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, August 30, 2015 : In a bid to boost the union government’s digital India campaign, Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry on Sunday launched Sahaj online LPG service, which will help consumers avoid hassles in getting new connections.
Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan launched the facility in New Delhi.
The facility will be simultaneously launched at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Pune.
All state-run fuel retailers are joining the e-tail bandwagon with a web-based system for selling new LPG connections.
The new system will be available on the websites of each oil company and the government’s LPG portal, Pahal.
The online system will allow prospective consumers to get a connection from the comfort of their home.
