By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, June 18, 2019: The Odisha Government on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar here for extending quality healthcare services for economically-backward patients under its flagship Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).

The MoU was signed between the hospital authorities and the state Health and Family Welfare Department in the presence of Health Minister Naba Kishore Das and Secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda, and AIIMS Bhubaneswar Director Gitanjali Batmanabane.

As per the agreement, the premier hospital will provide free treatment services to needy patients under the Government scheme.

Das chaired a meeting with the management of private hospitals and discussed issues related to treatment of patients under BSKY.
