By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, September 12, 2018: Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) will soon set up private industrial park nearby to its 6 million tonne steel plant at Angul at an estimated cost of Rs 600 crore. If it comes up, it will be Odisha’s first industrial park in private sector.

This was indicated by JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal at a roadshow on Make in Odisha meet attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at New Delhi on Wednesday.

Spread over 500 acres of land, the park will mainly house steel downstream, ancillary and chemical units and is expected to attract investments to the tune of Rs 10000 crore in the form of establishment of various units in the complex, Company sources said.

JSPL will showcase the project in the upcoming ‘Make in Odisha’ conclave to be held from November 11 to 15 at Bhubaneswar.

The detailed project report of the park awaits the formal approval of the state level committee headed by the chief secretary.

Some of the parks have been set up by the state-owned Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), or in joint sector by IDCO in partnership with the private company.
