By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, June 29, 2017 : Odisha-born film producer and promoter Jitendra Mishra is named as one of the jury members at upcoming Tel Aviv International Children’s Film Festival-2017 scheduled in Israel.

Mishra is the first Indian to join as the jury at the international children’s film festival.

Incidentally, this year both India & Israel are celebrating 25th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries and the prime minister Narendra Modi is also visiting Israel next week and he will be the first Indian prime minister to visit Israel.

Mishra is going to host a Industry session about the Children’s Film Industry in India, experience of Producing children’s film in India & co-production opportunities between India and Israel during the festival.

Besides, Jitendra is scheduled to conduct a programme on possibility of film production with efforts of India and Israel producers during the event.

Jitendra, who is best known for the films like “I am Kalam” and “Desires of the Heart”, has produced over 110 films of the entire genre including, short films, documentary, feature and corporate films and successfully promoted so far.

He has been honoured with Young Jury award at International Film Festival India (IFFI) held in Goa. He has also received the awards including Future of India from Bollywood Entertainment Trade and Sun of Odisha award from New Delhi-based Odia Pua organisation.

Besides, he has also designed and implemented several international festivals, workshops and campaigns. He has been the festival director of the unique film festival ‘SIFFCY’ (Smile Int’l Film Festival for Children & Youth) initiated by Smile Foundation.
