By Bizodisha Bureau, Bhubaneswar, February 12, 2017 : Bollywood celebrity, Ruturaj Mohanty on Sunday enthralled thousands of people who thronged to Patha Utsav here notwithstanding the dense fog creating a virtual veil till late morning.

Ruturaj left magical band over the people with songs like “Ei Barsha” in Odia and Sambalpuri folk song “Rangabati rangabati kanakalata hasi pade kahalo katha”.

The popular singer, who virtually became a household name in the state following his emphatic win in the reality show India’s Raw Star, also sang other major numbers like “Teri galiyan…teri galiyan…” and “Mar jau yaa jilun jaara” and left the audience with his electrifying performance and on-stage charisma.

Among others, Rosalin Sahoo – also a contenstant in the reality show in Indian Idol, performed with a distinct energy level showing her versatility, stage management skills and art to engage the crowd with her every step and word.

Local singing star Rahul Dhal Praharaj also gave a good show. While these singers were brilliantly performing with dance numbers in Stage I, at Stage II regular music and dance groups were seen entertaining crowd with great efficiency and richness of their voices.

The city based Shantidham Foundation also organized an audition for its upcoming event Jhoom-2017, a dance event meant for orphans, physically challenged and transgender community.

Jhoom-2017 will be organised in association with All Odisha Orthopedically Handicapped Welfare Association, All Odisha Blind Association and All Odisha Eunuch and Transgender Association and the final round will be held on May 15 after several preliminary round in April and May.

Fifty boys and girls from across the state on Sunday participated in the event despite their difficulties in daily life.
